10th Anniversary of the HR Giger Museum

On Saturday, June 21, 2008, the H.R. Giger Museum, in Gruyeres, Switzerland will be celebrate its 10th Anniversary. The occasion will be marked by a special party commencing in the early afternoon, bringing together friends and fans from around the world. 

The Museum will open its doors at 10 am and the festivities will commence at 3 pm. Assorted art and music scene luminaries and friends of HR Giger are expected to attend the event. The various floors of the Museum will feature temporary bars, such as the Absinthe Bar, and there will be performances and readings. On the top floor, piano players will play jazz and boogie-woogie, HRGiger's favorite music. At around 9 pm, the festivities will transfer to the "Globull" club in the neighboring town of Bulle for a special concert which will be followed by DJs and dancing.

Museum Party Entrance Fee: CHF 15.00, including a voucher for 1 cocktail
Concert Entrance Fee: To be announced at a later date on the Giger Museum website.

To commemorate the museum's anniversary, Bijan Aalam and Philippe Carini, have compiled a collectors' book, H.R. GIGER IN GRUYERES - The First Decade, documenting the ten year history of the museum.
