H.R.Giger is well aware of the unauthorized websites on the Internet which use his name. Many of these Giger sites have been designed and posted by overzealous and misguided fans and exist in disregard of the artist's own wishes. Although Giger is flattered by this "compliment", he cannot encourage the presence of these websites nor recommend that Giger fans visit them. Especially the unauthorized websites which feature Giger's art or writings, or utilize photographs or texts taken from his available printed works. They are in direct violation of artist's copyright and cause damage to him and to his publishers.
