Allerdinbgs auch sehr teuer, was die Waren angeht.
Seit nunmehr 38 Jahren quäle ich mich mit menschlichen Stühlen und

Comments: Mr. Giger, I´m 23-year-old. Since I saw Alien for the first time (it must have been when I was 15) I got very impressed by your work. I´m a Law student who will finish the course by the end of 2001. It´s a pity that your work is not published here. Not even the books... I´m very curious about Necronomicon I and II and some Alien´s drawings, but all I´ve seen so far were two or three paintings. Your concept of biomechanics is awesome and could be widely developed by a good director with a good idea (the Alien Series shows only a little bit of your creativity). I also admire Francis Bacon´s paintings. I read somewhere that he might have influenced you, but I´m not sure. Anyway, it´s a great pleasure for me being able to write to a great artist like you.

other works by H.R.G. as I have always enjoyed
his works. It wasnt until I had purchased
the H.R.Giger museum posters that I learned
of the existance of this site. I honestly had no
idea that he had so much involvement in
so many different things. Upon reading
the biography posted here I have discovered
many works that I hope to add to my collection.
As an artist myself I was inspired by the
works of H.R.Giger as I beleive him to be
not only a great artist but something of a
scientist as well. His approach is like that

Comments: Once, when I was in Germany, I passed a book store and saw a small book with one of Giger's paintings on the cover. I was captivated and contemplated purchasing the 30 page postcard book. I was short on cash and opted not to but it then left the store, regretefully. No sooner had we left the little village and I realized that I had made a great mistake. The very next day, we drove all the way back to that village, hunted down the same bookstore through the narrow winding roads. When I picked up the book again I knew that I had to have it. It was one of the best things I ever did. Back in Canada, in one of my favourite stores I found that they had a calendar of Giger's works, books on him, and other things (posters etc.) I was in heaven. Giger's works are so inspiring, they invoke a surreal, dramatic, cold side to people that I love. I don't know what I'd do if I hadn't bought that book!

Upon finding books on Mr Gigers art I saw that a good deal of his work was based around the Alien and it's birthing cycle. Certainly surreal, but also majorly disturbing in it's sick suggestions of procreation and inter-species rape. This is not a complaint. H.R.Giger has the imagination and creativity beyond any of our wildest or herb induced dreams. Good stuff, keep it up. Also, Fox should get a slap for omitting him from the design credits. It's so easy to judge from a technical standpoint, and it takes away from the experience of enjoying a glimpse into another's imagination. Giger's work is the exception to the rule. He so completely blows all conventions of fine art out of the water, that all one can do is look, enjoy, and sink into his work. People like Marcel Duchamp and Salvador Dali are fantastic but Geiger is Testicular because he is still alive. Comments: I used to love H.R Geigers work as a kid growing up in New Zealand
It used to seem as if his work was about something, that there was
a definate path he was taking. That there was something he was
struggling to say. The whole man / machine idea is entirely relevant
in our age. But it looks as if hes been sidetracked, too bogged down in
making money or publicity. It is the art of a man who has forgotten
what it is he wanted to say. That is not to say its no good. Its beautiful
but its empty, its dissolved into a pastiche of itself and no longer rings
true. Perhaps his appeal has been undermined by his own success, the
overexposure of his art dissolving his origional intent and meaning into
so much interior decoration and heavy metal cliche.

Comments: All I can really say about his artwork and sculptures is they are absolutely horrifying. I get scared looking at the works of Giger, but I am highly intrigued at the same time. He has a brilliant mind and I enjoyed all of the Alien films 1 - 4. Comments: I am looking for a particular GIGER picture called
REMEMBER ALIEN, this picture represents a human hierarchictic figure with a hypospasmodias condition.
This figure remains pure,above all the rest of the human falic symbols stacked in a row on thelower left and right side.
He is represented untarneshd by the scorn of free love and passion is posed sitting on a throwna above all.
This painting represents the value of taditon.
I identify with the idea of beeing aliented from a 90's love triangle and maintaining innocence for another befitting my every whim.
The image of a webed curved erect penis also identified with almost all of the adolesent trials and tribulations i was dealing with;
and the positie revolation i accuoired from the futile persuit of not scoring.
this image served as a usefull icon to state where the path lead me all those years.
looking at others and there tarnished faces of sexual guilt gives me an stepp into self existentialism.
the subjective image relaiting to the falicees seem absurd,Misleading, highly agsagerated,..

Comments: after years of trying to get some documentation i think this website is the greatest to all the respect to mr.giger it has been a rael good experience to analize his work, i think he `s great and has been an inspiration to do my own art and try to collect the most editions of posters and books. A lot of people think that h.r giger just mean alien, but in a long term they will realize that his art is better without aliens and introducing to the people all the other fine work behind it. As the snakes that means seduction his work, his snake it`s starting to seduce us all and im trying to get people to understand his work qualifed sometime as evil and try to explain it as he does trough his books that there is no evil just a strong source of inspiration and love to life.
Here in Chile the last country falling off the planet in southamerica people will understand the work of years, even trough pain which is inspiration to be mind-opened for the people like that admire his work and do not have much access to material of real quality but cheap copies, but anyways is still a source of inspiration and admiration.
