Giger, I have always been fascinated with your ideas about biomechanics. The more I
learn about people the more machine-like they seem. Last year a freind of mine had his
thumb hacked off in an industrial accident, it was sewn back on using microsurgergical
techniques that involved removing a vein from his wrist and placing it in the thumb-stump
to allow the nerve ending to grow back into the appendage. How oddly similar to fixing
some consumer or industrial machine, simply a matter of replacing the wiring. You once
wrote in a fictional peice about a race of biomechanoids superceding us and keeping us as
pets. It may be of interest to you to check up on the Anders Transhuman home page, in an
article about the possibility of Lorenzian wormholes a proposal for "uploading"
human intelligence on to a faster nanotech platform was discussed. The possibility of
nanotechnology and artificial intelligence somehow invoke images of your biomechanical
creations, who knows how these creatures might evolve. If fate is kind to us they may
indeed be benevolent enough to keep us as pets, if not-who knows. A dark future indeed...
You are a true visionary for posessing the forsight that allowed you to produce your
visions of a biomechanoid ascendency. Keep up the good work!

Giger inspires visions of erotic nightmares to fire my creative imagination. I'm a
horror/fantasy/sci-fi., writer. It's nice to know that there is another out there who can
see with clear vision the beauty of the dark. Repulsivness has a distinct attraction all
it's own, that's not to be denied. I've been a Giger fan since way back, (I think I just
gave away a good indication of my age, opps! A lady is never to tell....*grin*) I get the
impression that it is a universal thing amoung artists and writers of the dark genre, that
against popular belief, we are the sanest most grounded of people. Our art keeps the
demons fed, and when the inner demons have a full stomach, they are less likely to get out
for a stroll across the lawn. Many thanks to Mr. Giger for being able to take thoughts
from our heads and make them visual. I marvel at his ability, as I am only blessed with
words........ With wishes for continued success in the future, ~Sher~

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. I've allways liked Giger's work. The
familiar but otherworldly quality of biomechanics in general. For art to be significant,
it needs to offend some sort of sensibility. If the viewer is not shocked then the artist
has not done his job. The biomechanic style is shocking, both beautiful and horrifying
(not unlike many aspects of reality). I suppose Giger is my favourite living artist, and
it's for that reason--that his paintings move me. Even if it's not allways a pleasant
reaction, his work allways makes me react. The web site's pretty cool too. Love is the

Dear Mr. Giger, Have been a fan of your's since ELP's Brain Salad Surgery. One of the
first LPs I ever bought. You may or may not remember, but the day after you won the
Academy Award for Alien, two kids came to the Chateau Marmont where you were staying in
Hollywood and woke you up for an autograph. I was one of those kids. I remember this well
because it was the one and only time I've been described as a brat in suitzerdeutch.
Anyway, I still admire your work and am now a struggling illustrator. I've just completed
university. I am now convinced that, just as one never sees a beautiful woman in a beauty
salon, so does one never never see great art in art school. Forever a fan, Christopher

An excellent tribute to one of the world's most intriguing and gifted artists. I didn't
find too much artwork here though, which I suppose is because one can't live off of art
sales when anyone can get it free on the net. Keep up the good work!

You are one crazy, sick, morbid, demented and one hell of an artist. And i wish there
were many more artists like yourself. The things you create are fucked-up and that's what
i like. I want to get the Necronomicans and Bio-Mechanic book but i can't afford them.
Keep on creating...

Verehrter Herr Giger, ich bin ein grosser Bewunderer Ihrer Kunstwerke. Sie beeinflussen
mich stark. Die Kraft und Stimmung, die aus ihnen hervorgeht, ist leider nur sehr schwer
in Worte zu fassen. Ich möchte in der nächsten Zeit unbedingt die Giger-Bar in Chur
sehen. Viele dunkle Grüsse aus München Thomas Boeck

Giger's work has inspired me for years. Still, I can't help wishing that I was
invisible and able to perch on his shoulder when he creates, it would undoubtably be
phenomenal. Thank you.

Your art is one of the neatest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Been drawing a
lot of creature drawings ever since I first saw your Alien design. Like it a lot!! You
really inspire me to draw more, man! Just one more thing, are you going to be designing
the next alien in the upcoming Alien movie? Or are you going to design more creatures for
new movies? Anyway, just keep on the impressive work!

Greetings! The subject of Giger came up in conversation, so of course the first thing
we did was to check it out on the WWW. Enjoy the images of course, but FYI, the formatting
is off when viewed in MS Explorer 3 on a 17 inch monitor. My friends standing around me
here, are all very impressed! Have always admired gigers art and designs. Peace!

Giger is the ABSOLUTE ARCHITECT OF DARKNESS! However I hate seeing him get screwed over
by Hollywood, Danzig, etc, etc. Unfortunatly i doubt Giger will get the respect and
attention that he deserves for another century or so. Anyway Giger MAKE A MOVIE! A
CARTOON! SOMETHING! I love your art but i would love it even more if it were alive on the
screen!

Giger's ability to transfer what is in his head to paper astounds me. As an amateur
artist, I always struggle to make the visions that are in my head come to life. Giger does
all that and more.

I first saw your drawings on a postcard collection, and I was immedeatly amazed! On the
birthday of a great friend of mine I sent her one of those postcards and she to was
completely amazed, so she bought a book just about you. Today I bought a poster collection
of your drawings to decorate my room, and a the whole set of postcards again to send to
that friend of mine. I'd love to get more of your material, that I find to be the most
spectacular drawings one can see. If possible, and if it's not to ask to much I'd love to
get a postcard or something of the kind directly from you. From a great fun of your
drawings, and with best wishes of getting more of your material, Tomás Abecasis
